I have personally known Melody for several years, and her personality is just as delightful as her colorful interiors. She’s introduced a grasscloth wallpaper in the breakfast nook the color palette is very much on-trend she’s using high performance fabrics that are perfect for families and the remaining design elements are very client centric. This beautiful Transitional Family Room by Melody Jurick of Melody Jurick Designs is right on trend in a number of ways. The key points to remember are to design with classic silhouettes and keep trendy design elements to a minimum. Performance fabrics, well-constructed furniture, and durable finishes are the main foundations in luxe living and will be essential for busy families and those with pet. These spaces will be curated and personal, with a mix of new and vintage/vintage-looking pieces and finishes. It’s all about mastering the mix of high and low (where to splurge and where to save) to create spaces that feel timeless and sophisticated, no matter what the design style may be. Luxe living is not about expensive items, glam or glitzy spaces, but rather it’s about a refined and elevated approach to decorating. Did you know that decorating trends usually have a lifespan of 2-5 years? Some last a little longer, but some of them last for only a short year? Crazy, right!?
